Inspiration/Influence: Shaun Evaristo and Patrick Cruz (The Company), Jun Quemado(Team Millienia), Lando Wilkins(Boxcutters), Vince Calingsan(Rewind) and Liquid Xpress

Aim: Combine both of my favourite choreographers into one and teach my own workshop around the world.

Quotes:

  • Dance to inspire, inspire to dance.
  • Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures.
  • Creativity is allowing you to make mistakes. Art knows which ones to keep.
  • Don’t judge yourself through someone else’s eyes.

History of dance

I began my dancing at the age of 15 from the influence of a Korean dance video, with not much knowledge I was helped by my sister by taking me to classes. Throughout my year of dance I’ve learned hip hop, break, locking, popping, harlem shaking, krumping, nuskool hip hop and one of my favourite American hip hop. I’ve only taken a few dance classes from Unitd Styles, Dance Unitd and Melbourne Music Academy(MMA) and from there I’ve self taught myself by watching youtube. I also danced in church and made up dances for props, items and other special occasions such as Christmas.

I was in a dance group called Liquid Xpress at the age of 15 and have competed in many dance competitions. We’ve competed and won 1st in Urban Quest and 1st in Groove Final Heats. We’ve been in Peninsula Crew Challenge, Urban Quest Dance, Shakedown and Groove and on my own time I’ve also performed in Raw Sounds, Get Krumpd and more. By 2009 I began to dance solo, teaching and dancing with variations of groups and classes. My main aim is to teach my own workshop and influencing many other dancers.

  • 1st Groove Competition for Battlegrounds with Liquid Xpress 2007
  • 1st Urban Quest 2007
  • 2nd Peninsula Crew Challenge 2007
